Improper planning and the uncontrolled execution of draining and purging of LNG hoses can lead to prolonged operations and serious incidents.
Developed by INTERTANKO’s Gas Tanker Committee, Practical Guide to the Draining and Purging of LNG Liquid Cargo Hoses provides a risk-based procedure that aims to assist operators with disconnecting the hoses in a time-efficient manner, while adhering to safety and pollution prevention requirements.
This guide will also assist operators in developing or further enhancing their own hose draining and purging procedures.
