Coronavirus (Covid-19) Vaccination for Seafarers and Shipping Companies: A Practical Guide

INTERTANKO, together with industry non-governmental organisations ICS, IMHA and ITF, have produced a Covid-19 guidance document aimed at addressing the basic questions that seafarers and their employers/shipping companies may have on the Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination.
“Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccination for Seafarers and Shipping Companies: A Practical Guide” provides a background to Covid-19 alongside information on the various Covid-19 vaccines and how they work.
It addresses a range of questions relating to the vaccines, including their safety and side effects, who can have the vaccines and how soon protection starts after having the vaccine.
The third edition contains:
- Updated information on the current status of global vaccinations and vaccination guidance relevant to seafarers; and
- An expanded ‘Key Questions’ section, including new information on multiple doses and types of vaccinations.
